On April 8, 2025, FOTON marked a historic milestone in São Paulo as the first locally manufactured ALL NEW AUMARK light truck rolled off its production line. This event, part of the FOTON LATAM PARTNERS CONFERENCE 2025 themed “Together Win Future,” not only represents a breakthrough in FOTON’s Latin American strategy but also celebrates the global production of its 12,000,000th vehicle. The milestone underscores FOTON’s commitment to an open, win-win industrial ecosystem and its rapid internationalization.
Following the successful launch of its Thailand facility in November 2024—which achieved the 1,000,000th export vehicle milestone—FOTON now takes a major step in Latin America. The Brazil factory, developed jointly with local partner AGRALE, is the first Chinese commercial vehicle production line established in Brazil. Covering 197,000 square meters, the facility is designed with an annual production capacity of 5,000 units, with an initial phase targeting 2,000 units. It currently produces medium and light trucks, with plans to expand into heavy trucks and pickups in the future.
Driven by strong demand for efficient logistics and new energy commercial vehicles in Brazil, FOTON has rapidly gained market traction. In Q1 2025, FOTON Brazil recorded sales exceeding 500 units—a year-on-year increase of 180%. The new factory not only serves as a bridgehead for FOTON’s deep-rooted Latin American strategy but also epitomizes its global industrial chain collaboration. By converting its localized capabilities into international competitiveness, FOTON is poised to lead the transformation and upgrade of the global commercial vehicle industry.
