【Brief description】On February 22, FOTON officially opened the Regional Distribution Center- ASEAN & OCEANIA in Foshan, Guangdong Province. As a key node of FOTON's globalisation strategy, the centre will radiate the markets of Southeast Asia, Oceania and other 11 countries, promote the response time of overseas parts service to be greatly improved, and further consolidate its market competitiveness in the Asia-Pacific region.
On February 22, FOTON officially opened the Regional Distribution Center- ASEAN & OCEANIA in Foshan, Guangdong Province. As a key node of FOTON's globalisation strategy, the centre will radiate the markets of Southeast Asia, Oceania and other 11 countries, promote the response time of overseas parts service to be greatly improved, and further consolidate its market competitiveness in the Asia-Pacific region.
At present, FOTON has laid out nearly 30 KD factories in the world, and has built 22 KD factories, over 1,000 distribution and 1,200 service outlets, covering more than 130 countries and regions. Among them, the Southeast Asian market has achieved ‘regional linkage’ through the inventory centres in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. The opening of this parts centre will strengthen the localised service capability, provide ‘24-hour response’ guarantee for end customers and dealers, and lay a service foundation for the subsequent export of complete vehicles. Up to now, FOTON has set up a total of 18 global regional parts centres and national parts centres, which can effectively meet the needs of parts reserve and distribution in global markets such as Europe, the Middle East, Central and South America, and Southeast Asia.
South China Centre is not only a logistics hub, but also a strategic pivot of the global service system. In the future, FOTON plans to continue to encrypt the overseas warehouse network, deepen the global strategic market layout, and at the same time rely on digital technology to enhance the supply chain resilience and help business growth in emerging markets.
The establishment of ASEAN and Oceania Parts Centre marks FOTON's leap from ‘products overseas’ to ‘supply chain overseas’. With its customer-centric globalisation strategy, FOTON will provide a new paradigm for Chinese commercial vehicle brands to explore the international market.
