The “Extreme Cycle for Hunger” event was launched by M&W in 2014 with the aim of raising public awareness on structural poverty and food insecurity in South Africa through charity cycling. M&W has long utilized JAC’s range of commercial vehicles — including pickup trucks, small trucks, and light-duty trucks — for its humanitarian transport operations, making it a key institutional user of JAC in South Africa. The two parties have maintained a strategic partnership for several years, collaborating on public welfare initiatives such as food distribution, educational support, and basic service assistance for underprivileged communities.
During this year’s event, JAC deployed dozens of support vehicles, which played critical roles in cargo transport, medical emergency response, road safety patrols, and on-site logistical support. Along the cycling route, the convoy also made targeted donations of food, drinking water, and other essential supplies to several public schools, community centers, and child welfare institutions, actively contributing to the establishment of local food aid networks.
